【Overview】

The Overseas Koreans Agency is pleased to announce the 27th Overseas Koreans Literature Award,

open to overseas Koreans residing in over 180 countries worldwide.

The award has been held annually since 1999 to support Korean-language literary creation among overseas Koreans,

foster a strong sense of cultural identity, and promote mutual understanding between Koreans at home and abroad.

Your interest and participation in this year’s contest will be greatly appreciated.

【Objectives】

ㅇ To encourage the development of cultural identity among overseas Koreans through literary creation in the Korean language

ㅇ To strengthen ties with the homeland and promote mutual understanding through literary exchange

【Eligibility and Categories】

ㅇ Categories: Poetry, Short Story, Essay

ㅇ Eligible applicants:

• Overseas Koreans who have acquired citizenship or permanent residency in their country of residence, or who have resided overseas for at least 7 consecutive years ※ For youth participants (aged 7 to under 19): Must have acquired citizenship or permanent residency, or have resided overseas for at least 5 years ※ Eligibility will be assessed based on age and residency status as of the application deadline
