The Overseas Koreans Agency (OKA) is pleased to host the “28th Overseas Koreans Literary Awards.” We are inviting submissions from overseas Koreans residing in over 180 countries worldwide.
The Overseas Koreans Literary Awards have been held annually since 1999 to encourage literary creation in the Korean language. Furthermore, the awards aim to strengthen the identity of overseas Koreans and promote mutual understanding between Koreans at home and abroad. We look forward to your active participation and interest.
Applicants must be overseas Koreans who have acquired citizenship or permanent residency in their country of residence, or who have resided abroad for more than 7 years.
※ For Youth (Ages 7 to 19): Must have acquired citizenship/permanent residency or have resided abroad for more than 5 years.
※ Criteria: The period of stay and age will be calculated based on the actual age (rounded to the nearest full year) as of the application deadline.
A total of 13 awards will be presented across 3 categories, with a total prize pool of 29.5 million KRW.
